The Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) basketball nipped the host Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC), 55-50 in Friday's non-league test.

The Warriors (6-3) will now prepare for their test against West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 3-4 record. In their last test, West Charlotte got by Hopewell (Huntersville, NC), 76-37, in a league test.

The Chargers now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Ardrey Kell for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 20. Cox Mill will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 68-9 league win over Berry (Charlotte, NC). The Knights record now stands at 9-2.
