The Villa Maria Academy Hurricanes basketball team scored 37 points and held the visiting Episcopal Academy Churchmen to 29 in the Hurricanes non-league triumph on Friday.

The Hurricanes now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Villa Joseph Marie for a Catholic Academies contest on Tuesday, December 19. Villa Maria Academy will meet a Jems team coming off a 54-39 non-league loss to Nazareth Academy (Philadelphia, PA). The Jems record now stands at 4-3.

The Churchmen (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. St. Joseph Academy (Flourtown, PA). The Magic enter the non-league contest with a 2-4 record.
