Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Bishop Shanahan thwarts Episcopal Academy
December 30, 2023: Downingtown, PA 19335 The Bishop Shanahan Eagles (Downingtown, PA) basketball knocked off the visiting Episcopal Academy Churchmen (Newtown Square, PA), 51-32 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Eagles (6-5) will now prepare for their test against East (West Chester, PA). The Vikings go into the Ches-Mont - National test with a 7-2 record. In their last test, East notched a victory over Academy Park (Sharon Hill, PA), 61-36, in a non-league test.
The Churchmen now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to William Penn Charter for a Inter-Academic test on Wednesday, January 3. Episcopal Academy will encounter a Quakers squad coming off a 60-44 non-league loss to Oakland Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA). The Quakers record now stands at 3-7.
