Maine High School Basketball - Valley overwhelms Vinalhaven
December 15, 2023: Bingham, ME 04920 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Valley Cavaliers (Bingham, ME) and the visiting Vinalhaven Vikings (Vinalhaven, ME), saw Valley's basketball squad wallop Vinalhaven by a tally of 66-16.
With the victory, Valley improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Monmouth Academy (Monmouth, ME) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 16. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 0-3. Monmouth Academy lost 46-24 in their recent non-league test against Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME)
The Vikings now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Richmond for a non-league test on Saturday, December 16. Vinalhaven will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 44-43 league win over Carrabec (North Anson, ME). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-1.
