Center Roughriders (Center, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Hudson Hornets (Lufkin, TX), 58-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Center upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Roughriders host Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A Region III District 17 bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-4. Chapel Hill won 70-59 in their recent non-league bout against Rains (Emory, TX)

Next up, the Hornets play the Georgetown Eagles (Georgetown, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. Hudson will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record.
