The Hitchcock County Falcons basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Rawlins County Buffaloes to 49 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Friday.

The Falcons now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southwest for a D1 District 11 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Hitchcock County will battle a Roughriders team coming off a 51-38 non-league loss to Southern Valley (Oxford, NE). The Roughriders record now stands at 3-5.

The Buffaloes (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Northern Valley (Almena, KS). The Huskies enter the non-league contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Northern Valley nudged Arapahoe (Arapahoe, NE), 66-45, in a non-league contest.
