North Carolina High School Basketball - Huss can't hold off Kings Mountain
December 16, 2022: Kings Mountain, NC 28086 The Kings Mountain Mountaineers basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Huss Huskies to 62 in the Mountaineers league triumph on Friday.
The Mountaineers now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Gaston for a 3A Conference 50 contest on Tuesday, December 20. Kings Mountain will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 72-51 league loss to Forestview (Gastonia, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-7.
The Huskies (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against South Point (Belmont, NC). The Red Raiders enter the 3A Conference 50 contest with a 7-0 record. In their last contest, South Point nudged York (York, SC), 83-56, in a non-league contest.
