The North Hopkins Panthers basketball team (Sulphur Springs, TX), was overwhelmed 78-48 in Friday's non-league battle with the host LaPoynor Flyers (LaRue, TX)

The Flyers now possess a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fannindel for a non-league battle on Monday, December 19. LaPoynor will confront a Falcons team coming off a 64-35 league loss to Dodd City (Dodd City, TX). The Falcons record now stands at 3-10.

The Panthers (11-4) will now prepare for their battle against Cooper (Cooper, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 2A Region II District 15 battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Cooper was overwhelmed by Sam Rayburn (Ivanhoe, TX), 40-37, in a non-league battle.
