Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Wise Pumas (Upper Marlboro, MD) and the host Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD), saw Wise's basketball squad overcome Laurel by a tally of 63-48.

With the victory, Wise betters its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Pumas travel to Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD) to battle the Falcons in a non-league contest on Saturday, December 17. The Falcons come into the contest with a record of 6-1. Our Lady of Good Counsel lost 59-56 in their recent non-league contest against Shabach Christian Academy (Landover, MD)

The Spartans (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bowie (Bowie, MD). The Bulldogs come into the Prince George's County 4A contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Bowie prevailed over Parkdale (Riverdale, MD), 63-50, in a league contest.
