Texas High School Basketball - Ropes nips Petersburg
December 16, 2022: Ropesville, TX 79358 Ropes Eagles (Ropesville, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Petersburg Buffaloes (Petersburg, TX), 50-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Ropes upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Eagles travel to Seagraves (Seagraves, TX) to play the Eagles in a 2A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Seagraves lost 62-60 in their recent non-league bout against Monahans (Monahans, TX)
Next up, the Buffaloes play the Claude Mustangs (Claude, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. Petersburg will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 2-11 record after their 43-38 non-league loss to Adrian (Adrian, TX).
