North Carolina High School Basketball - Wilkes Central ripped by East Surry

December 16, 2022: Pilot Mountain, NC 27041

The East Surry Cardinals basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Wilkes Central Eagles to 20 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Reagan for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. East Surry will meet a Raiders team coming off a 53-42 league loss to Davie (Mocksville, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 5-4.

The Eagles (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Falcons enter the 2A Conference 37 contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Forbush was routed by North Surry (Mount Airy, NC), 49-47, in a league contest.
