Ontonagon Gladiators (Ontonagon, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Ewen-Trout Creek Panthers (Ewen, MI), 35-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ontonagon upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Gladiators travel to Calumet (Calumet, MI) to play the Copper Kings in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Copper Kings come into the test with a record of 4-1.

The Panthers now own a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to Johnston for a non-league test on Monday, December 19. Ewen-Trout Creek will encounter a Speedboys squad coming off a 67-52 non-league win over Chassell (Chassell, MI). The Speedboys record now stands at 1-4.
