North Carolina High School Basketball - Independence overwhelms Garinger

December 16, 2022: Charlotte, NC 28227

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) and the visiting Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC), saw Independence's basketball squad wallop Garinger by a tally of 59-16.

With the victory, Independence improves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Tennessee (Bristol, TN) to confront the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 20. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 4-5. Tennessee lost 72-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Gate City (Gate City, VA)

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 20. Garinger will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 65-25 league win over Concord (Concord, NC).
