The Owen Warhorses topped the visiting Mitchell Mountaineers basketball team by a final score of 54-44 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Warhorses face the Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 42 game, on Monday, December 19. Owen will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Cougars enter the game with a 6-2 record after their 60-48 league win over Rosman (Rosman, NC).
