Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Southampton Indians (Courtland, VA) and the visiting Sussex Central Tigers (Sussex, VA), saw Southampton's basketball squad wallop Sussex Central by a count of 47-7.

With the victory, Southampton upgrades its record to 1-5 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Franklin (Franklin, VA) to play the Broncos in a Tri-Rivers challenge on Monday, January 9. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 4-4.

Next up, the Tigers play the Westmoreland Eagles (Montross, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Sussex Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record.
