Blacksburg Bruins (Blacksburg, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Cave Spring Knights (Roanoke, VA), 49-16 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Blacksburg upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Bruins host Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC) to play the Granite Bears in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Granite Bears go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Mount Airy lost 26-15 in their recent non-league bout against Starmount (Boonville, NC)

Next up, the Knights play the Christiansburg Blue Demons (Christiansburg, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 19. Cave Spring will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Blue Demons go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 34-32 non-league loss to Salem (Salem, VA).
