Destin Sharks (Destin, FL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Jay Royals (Jay, FL), 43-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Destin upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Sharks host Providence Christian (Dothan, AL) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Royals play the Paxton Bobcats (Paxton, FL) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Jay will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
