The Franklin County Eagles basketball team (Rocky Mount, VA), was nudged 61-58 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Cave Spring Knights (Roanoke, VA)

The Knights now possess a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Patrick Henry for a River Ridge battle on Tuesday, December 19. Cave Spring will battle a Patriots team coming off a 82-59 league win over Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 3-2.
