The Sports & Medical Sciences Academy Tigers (Hartford, CT) basketball felled the host Cromwell Panthers (Cromwell, CT), 50-40 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Tigers (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Cheney RVT (Manchester, CT). The Beavers go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record.

The Panthers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host North Branford for a Shoreline test on Tuesday, December 19. Cromwell will encounter a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 70-64 league loss to Coginchaug Regional (Durham, CT). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 0-2.
