Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Middlebury Tigers (Middlebury, VT), 60-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Essex upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Hornets travel to Hartford (White River Junction, VT) to play the Hurricanes in a Southern Vermont - B bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a record of 4-0. Hartford won 59-45 in their recent league bout against Otter Valley (Brandon, VT)

Next up, the Tigers play the U-32 Raiders (Montpelier, VT) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 20. Middlebury will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
