Missouri High School Basketball - Smith-Cotton knocked off by Hillcrest
December 16, 2023: Springfield, MO 65803 The Hillcrest Hornets basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Smith-Cotton Tigers to 35 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Hornets now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Parkview for a Ozarks contest on Tuesday, January 2. Hillcrest will meet a Vikings team coming off a 51-43 non-league win over Chillicothe (Chillicothe, MO). The Vikings record now stands at 4-2.
The Tigers (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against Harrisonville (Harrisonville, MO). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Harrisonville was outscored by Center (Kansas City, MO), 55-54, in a league contest.
