The Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) basketball nipped the host Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV), 60-56 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Vikings (4-0) will now prepare for their test against Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV). The Big Blacks go into the Twin State test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Point Pleasant was tipped by Gallia Academy (Gallipolis, OH), 27-25, in a league test.

The Huskies now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Buffalo for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 19. Hoover will encounter a Bison squad coming off a 56-50 league win over Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV). The Bison record now stands at 3-1.
