Kentucky High School Basketball - Morgan County overwhelms Pike County Central
December 16, 2023: West Liberty, KY 41472 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Morgan County Cougars (West Liberty, KY) and the visiting Pike County Central Hawks (Pikeville, KY), saw Morgan County's basketball squad wallop Pike County Central by a tally of 79-54.
With the victory, Morgan County improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Madison Southern (Berea, KY) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 16. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 3-1. Madison Southern won 73-53 in their recent league challenge against Madison Central (Richmond, KY)
Next up, the Hawks play the Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, December 20. Pike County Central will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Lions go into the test with a 7-0 record after their 68-66 non-league win over George Washington (Charleston, WV).
