Kentucky High School Basketball - Boyd County overwhelms Morgan County
December 8, 2023: Ashland, KY 41102 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) and the visiting Morgan County Cougars (West Liberty, KY), saw Boyd County's basketball squad wallop Morgan County by a tally of 83-58.
With the victory, Boyd County improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Lions host East Carter (Grayson, KY) to confront the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 9. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 3-1. East Carter lost 66-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Rowan County (Morehead, KY)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Elliott County Lions (Sandy Hook, KY) in a District 62 challenge, on Wednesday, December 13. Morgan County will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record.
