December 16, 2023: Allentown, PA 18104 The William Allen Canaries basketball team (Allentown, PA), was nudged 56-52 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Pocono Mountain East Cardinals (Swiftwater, PA)
The Cardinals now possess a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Stroudsburg South for a Eastern Pennsylvania - Mountain battle on Tuesday, December 19. Pocono Mountain East will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 50-43 non-league win over Delaware Valley (Milford, PA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-4.
The Canaries (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Nazareth Area (Nazareth, PA). The Blue Eagles come into the Lehigh Valley battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Nazareth Area edged Bethlehem Catholic (Bethlehem, PA), 51-49, in a league battle.
