Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Lenape Valley Patriots (Stanhope, NJ) and the host Academy of St. Elizabeth Panthers (Convent Station, NJ), witnessed Lenape Valley's basketball squad nip Academy of St. Elizabeth by a margin of 44-37.

The Patriots (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Wallkill Valley (Hamburg, NJ). The Rangers go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Wallkill Valley was tipped by Morris County Tech (Denville, NJ), 73-39, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Villa Walsh Academy for a non-league test on Monday, December 18. Academy of St. Elizabeth will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 58-18 non-league win over Parsippany Hills (Parsippany, NJ). The Vikings record now stands at 1-0.
