High Point Wildcats (Sussex, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Lenape Valley Patriots (Stanhope, NJ), 45-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, High Point upgrades its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Morristown-Beard (Morristown, NJ) to play the Crimson in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Crimson come into the bout with a record of 8-13. Morristown-Beard lost 60-35 in their recent league bout against Hanover Park (East Hanover, NJ)

Next up, the Patriots play the Hackettstown Tigers (Hackettstown, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 10. Lenape Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 15-8 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 6-15 record after their 42-39 non-league win over Academy of St. Elizabeth (Convent Station, NJ).
