Brighton Cardinals (Brighton, TN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting St. George's Gryphons (Collierville, TN), 50-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Brighton upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Arlington (Arlington, TN) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 1-7. Arlington lost 60-37 in their recent league bout against Houston (Germantown, TN)

Next up, the Gryphons play the Kirby Cougars (Memphis, TN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. St. George's will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 40-37 non-league loss to Mitchell (Memphis, TN).
