December 16, 2023: Wheatland, IA 52777 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Calamus-Wheatland Warriors (Wheatland, IA) and the visiting Cedar Valley Christian Huskies (Cedar Rapids, IA), saw Calamus-Wheatland's basketball squad wallop Cedar Valley Christian by a tally of 69-5.
With the victory, Calamus-Wheatland improves its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Warriors host Marquette (Bellevue, IA) to play the Mohawks in a Tri-Rivers - East challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Mohawks come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. Marquette lost 49-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Black Hawk (South Wayne, WI)
Next up, the Huskies play the English Valleys Bears (North English, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 1. Cedar Valley Christian will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record.
