In Monday's league contest, the host Susquenita Blackhawks basketball team scored a good 40-29 triumph over the Newport Buffaloes.

The Blackhawks (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hanover (Hanover, PA). The Nighthawks go into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Hanover topped Littlestown (Littlestown, PA), 31-28, in a non-league challenge.
