The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Newport Buffaloes (Newport, PA) and the host East Juniata Tigers (McAlisterville, PA), observed Newport's basketball team knock off East Juniata by a score of 49-34.

The Buffaloes (4-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Southern Huntingdon County (Three Springs, PA). The Rockets come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the West Perry Mustangs (Elliottsburg, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 25. East Juniata will attempt to improve on its 2-14 season record.
