Newton Local Indians (Pleasant Hill, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks (Union City, OH), 73-57 in a league bout.

With the victory, Newton Local upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Indians host Legacy Christian Academy (Xenia, OH) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 18. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 6-2. Legacy Christian Academy won 57-52 in their recent league bout against Emmanuel Christian Academy (Springfield, OH)

Next up, the Blackhawks play the New Bremen Cardinals (New Bremen, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 18. Mississinawa Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record.
