Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Holston Cavaliers (Damascus, VA), 65-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Grundy upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Golden Wave host Tazewell (Tazewell, VA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Monday, December 20. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Tazewell lost 43-33 in their recent non-league bout against Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA)

Next up, the Cavaliers clash with the Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 21. Holston will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 45-35 non-league loss to Twin Valley (Pilgrims Knob, VA).
