In Friday's league outing, the North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), by a count of 60-50.

The Vikings (4-5) will now prepare for their outing against Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Trojans come into the non-league bout with a 0-4 record. In their last bout, Alleghany was dropped by South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC), 37-24, in a league bout.
