Virginia High School Basketball - Western Branch nips Landstown
December 17, 2022: Chesapeake, VA 23321 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) and the visiting Landstown Eagles (Virginia Beach, VA), saw Western Branch's basketball squad hold off Landstown by a tally of 44-41.
With the victory, Western Branch improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Bruins host King's Fork (Suffolk, VA) to play the Bulldogs in a Southeastern challenge on Friday, January 6. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 4-0. King's Fork won 70-55 in their recent league challenge against Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA)
Next up, the Eagles play the Kempsville Chiefs (Virginia Beach, VA) in a Beach challenge, on Tuesday, December 20. Landstown will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 51-49 non-league loss to Indian River (Chesapeake, VA).
