Virginia High School Basketball - Kellam can't hold off Western Branch
December 9, 2022: Virginia Beach, VA 23456 The Western Branch Bruins basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the host Kellam Knights to 49 in the Bruins non-league victory on Friday.
The Bruins now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Booker T. Washington for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 14. Western Branch will battle a Mighty Bookers team coming off a 47-10 league win over Churchland (Portsmouth, VA). The Mighty Bookers record now stands at 1-1.
The Knights (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA). The Dolphins come into the Beach contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Ocean Lakes edged Cox (Virginia Beach, VA), 44-40, in a league contest.
