Texas High School Basketball - Sam Rayburn overwhelms Celeste
December 17, 2024: Ivanhoe, TX 75447 The Sam Rayburn Rebels basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting Celeste Blue Devils to 23 in the Rebels league triumph on Tuesday.
The Rebels now possess a 9-2 record. They play next when they host Wolfe City for a 2A Region II District 14 game on Friday, December 20. Sam Rayburn will confront a Wolves team coming off a 50-29 league loss to Honey Grove (Honey Grove, TX). The Wolves record now stands at 4-6.
With the loss, Celeste falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Bland (Merit, TX) to confront the Tigers in a 2A Region II District 14 game on Friday, December 20. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 10-7. Bland won 48-33 in their recent league game against Tom Bean (Tom Bean, TX)
