West Greene Pioneers (Waynesburg, PA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Mapletown Maples (Greensboro, PA), 53-21 in a league match.

With the victory, West Greene advances its record to 3-2 on the year. The Pioneers travel to Hundred (Hundred, WV) to face the Hornets in a non-league match on Wednesday, December 18. The Hornets enter the match with a record of 1-1. Hundred lost 55-41 in their recent league match against Clay-Battelle (Blacksville, WV)

The Maples now own a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jefferson-Morgan for a WPIAL 2A 3 match on Friday, December 20. Mapletown will face a Rockets squad coming off a 61-55 league win over Bethlehem Center (Fredericktown, PA). The Rockets record now stands at 4-2.
