December 17, 2024: Walnut Grove, AL 35990 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the West End Patriots (Walnut Grove, AL) and the visiting Ragland Purple Devils (Ragland, AL), observed West End's basketball team overwhelm Ragland by a margin of 58-35.
The Patriots (3-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Pennington (Blountsville, AL). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, Pennington was trounced by Locust Fork (Locust Fork, AL), 81-61, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Purple Devils battle the Coosa Christian Conquerors (Gadsden, AL) in a 1A Area 11 challenge, on Thursday, December 19. Ragland will attempt to better on its 0-11 season record. The Conquerors come into the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 64-47 non-league loss to Sand Rock (Leesburg, AL).
