In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Montgomery Bears basketball team scored a big 50-27 triumph over the Brenham Cubs.

The Bears (15-4) will now prepare for their contest against Clear Falls (League City, TX). The Knights go into the non-league contest with a 6-11 record.

In their next game, the Cubs confront the Huntsville Hornets (Huntsville, TX) in a 5A Region III District 17 contest, on Friday, December 20. Brenham will attempt to better on its 8-10 season record. The Hornets go into the contest with a 10-8 record after their 57-51 league win over College Station (College Station, TX).
