In Tuesday's non-league test, the Grundy Center Spartans (Grundy Center, IA) basketball squad trounced the visiting New Hampton Chickasaws (New Hampton, IA), by a score of 61-40.

Next, the Spartans encounter the East Marshall Mustangs (Le Grand, IA) in a North Iowa Cedar - West test, on Friday, December 20. Grundy Center will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Mustangs come into the test with a 2-6 record after their 45-22 league loss to AGWSR (Ackley, IA).

The Chickasaws (1-5) will now prepare for their test against Crestwood (Cresco, IA). The Cadets come into the Northeast Iowa test with a 1-3 record.
