Florida High School Basketball - Satellite overwhelms Merritt Island

December 17, 2024: Satellite Beach, FL 32937

The Satellite Scorpions basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Merritt Island Mustangs to 16 in the Scorpions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Scorpions now possess a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Harmony for a non-league game on Monday, January 6. Satellite will confront a Longhorns team coming off a 38-36 non-league win over Boone (Orlando, FL). The Longhorns record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Merritt Island falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Astronaut (Titusville, FL) to confront the War Eagles in a non-league game on Friday, December 20. The War Eagles go into the game with a record of 1-6. Astronaut lost 42-9 in their recent non-league game against Seabreeze (Daytona Beach, FL)
