December 17, 2024: Lovingston, VA 22949 Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA), 61-23 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Nelson County advances its record to 4-0 on the year. The Governors host Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA) to face the Fighting Blues in a non-league match on Thursday, December 19. The Fighting Blues enter the match with a record of 1-2. Parry McCluer lost 37-17 in their recent non-league match against Auburn (Riner, VA)
The Generals now own a 0-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Randolph-Henry for a non-league match on Thursday, December 19. William Campbell will face a Statesmen squad coming off a 46-38 non-league win over Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA). The Statesmen record now stands at 3-2.
