Michigan High School Basketball - Imlay City overwhelms International Academy
December 18, 2023: Imlay City, MI 48444 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Imlay City Spartans (Imlay City, MI) and the visiting International Academy Phoenix (Flint, MI), saw Imlay City's basketball squad wallop International Academy by a tally of 57-35.
With the victory, Imlay City improves its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Spartans host Croswell-Lexington (Croswell, MI) to play the Pioneers in a Blue Water Area challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a record of 2-2.
Next up, the Phoenix play the Ottawa Hills Bengals (Grand Rapids, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 21. International Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Bengals come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 72-68 non-league loss to Beecher (Flint, MI).
