The Mount Academy Eagles (Esopus, NY) basketball nudged the visiting Millbrook Blazers (Millbrook, NY), 74-71 in Monday's league contest.

The Eagles now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pine Plains for a Section 9 Mid Hudson IV contest on Friday, January 5. Mount Academy will meet a Bombers team coming off a 64-36 non-league loss to Ellenville (Ellenville, NY). The Bombers record now stands at 2-3.

The Blazers (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hawthorne Valley (Ghent, NY). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Hawthorne Valley nudged Webutuck (Amenia, NY), 57-43, in a non-league contest.
