Southampton Indians (Courtland, VA) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Arcadia Firebirds (Oak Hall, VA), 80-73 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Southampton advances its record to 7-0 on the year. The Indians host Windsor (Windsor, VA) to face the Dukes in a Tri-Rivers match on Monday, January 6. The Dukes enter the match with a record of 0-9. Windsor lost 67-35 in their recent non-league match against Charles City (Charles City, VA)

The Firebirds now own a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crisfield for a non-league match on Thursday, December 26. Arcadia will face a Crabbers squad coming off a 71-49 league loss to Mardela (Mardela Springs, MD). The Crabbers record now stands at 0-5.
