Flanagan-Cornell Falcons (Flanagan, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Lowpoint-Washburn Wildcats (Washburn, IL), 60-40 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Flanagan-Cornell upgrades its record to 8-2 on the year. The Falcons travel to Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL) to face the Flying Geese in a non-league match on Thursday, December 26. The Flying Geese enter the match with a record of 2-7. Wethersfield lost 73-32 in their recent non-league match against Brimfield (Brimfield, IL)

The Wildcats now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Putnam County for a Tri-County match on Friday, December 20. Lowpoint-Washburn will face a Panthers squad coming off a 74-38 league loss to Seneca (Seneca, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 0-7.
