In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Lincoln Lions basketball team scored a close 41-37 win over the Cumberland Clippers.

The Lions (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Tiverton (Tiverton, RI). The Tigers come into the Division 2 contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Tiverton edged St. Raphael Academy (Pawtucket, RI), 48-35, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Clippers battle the East Greenwich Avengers (East Greenwich, RI) in a Division 2 contest, on Friday, December 20. Cumberland will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Avengers come into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 45-38 league loss to Rogers (Newport, RI).
