In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Magruder Colonels basketball team scored a good 42-26 triumph over the Northwest Jaguars.

The Colonels (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Rockville (Rockville, MD). The Rams go into the Montgomery County - 3A/2A contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Rockville was topped by Wootton (Rockville, MD), 60-15, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Jaguars battle the Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles (Germantown, MD) in a Montgomery County - 4A West contest, on Friday, December 20. Northwest will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Screamin' Eagles go into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 61-25 non-league win over Paint Branch (Burtonsville, MD).
