January 24, 2025: Damascus, MD 20872 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Damascus Hornets (Damascus, MD) and the visiting Northwest Jaguars (Germantown, MD), observed Damascus's basketball team overwhelm Northwest by a score of 71-31.
The Hornets (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Wootton (Rockville, MD). The Patriots come into the non-league challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, Wootton trounced Watkins Mill (Gaithersburg, MD), 61-16, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Jaguars encounter the Walter Johnson Wildcats (Bethesda, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Northwest will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 68-47 non-league loss to Einstein (Kensington, MD).
